Pearl Gemstones: The Mother Of All Gemstones

The value of pearls are always determined by the blend of their color, size, the quality, shape and luster of their surface. The high quality, naturally-happening pearls have a propensity for boast a mirror-like, metallic luster.

A pearl does not undergo a process of treatment similar most gemstones once a pearl is harvested. The pearl is then drilled carefully before being matched with other pearls of a similar color or shape. Cultured pearls are occasionally dyed in colors like yellow, pink, blue, green or black.

Care
